ABOUT UX RESEARCH & HUMAN FACTORS
Usability and intuitive design is truly king. No matter how life saving a device or how good of an idea a product or service is - if the user can't intuitively use it it's a waste of time, money, and resources. I love design strategy and traditional UX Research. It's a wonderful way to care for our customers by providing life saving care for them or helping their self-esteem (so they don't feel foolish when they can't figure out a product).
I have an extensive knowledge and experience in UX research and excel in the following categories:
- Usability testing (remote or in-person)
- Card sorts
- Tree tests
- Concept testing
- Interviewing people with disabilities
- And many more...
ABOUT THE PROJECT
I worked on a large-scale human factors project for an Ireland-based medical device company. The objective was to secure FDA approval for the company's pain pump and its accompanying digital device. I joined the project to revise the test plan and outlines after the study initially failed to meet FDA standards due to inadequate test plans and layouts. By retesting the application using my new outlines and test plans in the United States and Europe, the application successfully obtained FDA approval.
